Words with purpose… For Just Such A Time

Plans. Good plans. Of this, the Bible tells us, we can be sure. But what if the things we imagined are thwarted by sickness, bereavement or unforeseen circumstances?

What then?

When serious health issues forced me out of work and ministry, I found myself questioning what I believed about purpose and pain.

“I was convinced the polished Lindsay was the one God would use: The preaching, working, wife and mum-of-two; the Lindsay non-stop and all-in for Jesus and His Church. Then, like the Psalm says, He made me lie down.

“A thought just dropped into my heart one day reading Esther: ‘what’s my just such a time?’”

Reading it over and over revelation dawned.

“For the first time, instead of viewing Esther before the king as a destiny’s end, I just saw a girl, in the place where God positioned her, obediently speaking the words needed to bring freedom. She had a God-inspired conversation and lives were changed.

“If she was born ‘for just such a time’, maybe I was too. Maybe you are.”

This was the thought and the message dropped into my heart that sparked the beginnings of what is now my first book, Just Such a Time, now available.

What if today, equipped by the Holy Spirit and right where you are, is your ‘just such a time’?

Would this change your outlook on life? Would it reignite a purpose? Would it fan into flame gifts laid to one side?

Imagine.

Believe again… For Just Such a Time!
